PowerCat-YD is equipped with an intelligent operation and maintenance monitoring cloud platform,which meets the needs of automation and power dispatching under the EMS control, and achieves the dual optimization through dynamic response function.Diesel generator parallel in PowerCat are highly efficient at peak shaving and valley filling, which keeps them running at optimal load energy consumption, reducing fuel consumption by 30%+and lowering the risk of the carbon emissions compared with the conventional models.Within the red line of transformer capacity, according to the load change, low charging and high discharging, real-time peak shaving and valley filling, so as to increase the utilization rate of transformer from the conventional 40% to 85%, and reduce the investment of initial installation or capacity increase and transformation.
The fuel efficiency of a diesel generator set decreases significantly at low loads (less than 30% of rated power), increasing fuel consumption per kWh by up to 200%.
PowerCat YD coordinates the SPCS and BMS in real time through the energy management system (EMS): When the load is decreases the optimal efficiency range, it automatically switches to PowerCat to minimize low-load operation of the diesel generator;When the load Increases, the PowerCat and diesel generator work together to maintain 60-80% efficient load range, dynamically adjusting the start-stop cycle of diesel generator set to avoid inefficient operation, which enables the diesel generator set to maintain optimal load conditions continuously and saves the fuel cost more than 30%, as well as reduces equipment wear and extends its lifespan.
